The Beginning
Safety Nook Inc. was started in the San Francisco Bay Area in California in 2001 as a specialized baby proofing business named CradleRock. Our business of running baby proofing seminars, giving advice, selling and installing safety products such as baby gates in private homes, grew out of a typical family environment where we experienced the same issues as most parents trying to raise their children: Too many problems and not enough solutions!

Over the years we have grown to become one of the most recognized child safety specialists in California and we were awarded 5 stars out of 5 possible as the best babyproofing specialists, providing babyproofing installations and seminars in the Bay Area, for 2 consecutive years in 2005 and 2006 by the leading resource book for parents (by parents) in the Bay Area “The Lila Guide”.
Our Ambition - all about keeping children safe at home!
In 2006 we decided to bring our experience with keeping children safe in their home environment out to parents and caregivers throughout the US and Canada - under Safety Nook Inc. Our ambition was to launch www.safetynook.com as the main and an exceptional resource for child safety online! Our philosophy is not just to sell a product, but to provide parents with information on common accidents and how to prevent them (baby proofing your home). To enable parents to select products that most likely will work for their home and to provide them with a comprehensive set of tools to make installation as easy as possible. We have "hands on" experience with all our products and our tools include installation video clips, manufacturers installation and user guides, and our own safety product guides!
